The 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference "Immersive Technologies in Education" was held on September 22, 2023/ It was organized by the Department of Open Learning Environment Technologies of the Institute of Digitalization of Education of the NAES of Ukraine. Co-organizers and partners of the conference became the National Academy of Education named after I. Altynsarin of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kraków Pedagogical University named after the National Education Commission, UiT Arctic University of Norway.
Among the discussed topics of the conference are problems of using immersive technologies in educational practice, in particular in STEM/STEAM education, theoretical-methodological and psychological-pedagogical aspects of using immersive technologies, technologies of augmented/virtual reality in education, health-preserving aspects of using immersive technologies in the educational process, evaluation of the quality of educational material with augmented reality, artificial intelligence.
Oleg Spirin, director of the Institute for Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Full Professor opened the conference. He noted the importance of using immersive technologies in education, emphasized the key role of educators, scientists and young professionals in building the infrastructure of a modern digital educational environment. Among the speakers at the conference were representatives of Norway, Poland, and Kazakhstan, who presented their achievements in the field of using augmented reality for collaborative learning, research projects, professional development; highlighted the experience of creating online discussion groups, evaluating students' educational achievements using artificial intelligence, and introduced didactic models of the use of artificial intelligence and immersive technologies in higher and general secondary education.
The moderators of the conference were Svitlana Lytvynova, Deputy Director for scientific work, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Oksana Ovcharuk, Head of the Comparative Studies Department for Information and Educational Innovations, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.
