Meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine

On October 17, 2024, the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine heard a report by Maria Shyshkina, Head of the Department of Cloud-Oriented Systems and Artificial Intelligence in Education at the Institute of Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Senior Research Fellow, on the progress and results of the research on the issues of using artificial intelligence in secondary education. After discussing Maria Pavlivna's report and the information presented by Volodymyr Kamyshyn, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, the Presidium emphasized that the research on the identification and proper use of artificial intelligence capabilities in the educational process, as a potentially powerful tool for enhancing its efficiency and quality at all levels, should be adequately reflected in the scientific agenda of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in the near and medium term.

ISSUE ¹4 (102) OF THE ELECTRONIC PROFESSIONAL JOURNAL "INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AND LEARNING TOOLS"

Dear colleagues, friends, teachers, professors, scientists! With faith in our peaceful future, life and work in independent Ukraine, we made the issue ¹4 (102) of the electronic professional journal "Information Technologies and Learning Tools". The issue consistently ranks 1st in the Top 100 "Best publications - Ukrainian" according to Google Scholar, included in the Web of Science Core Collection - Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

We want to present the works and professional achievements of Ukrainian and foreign researchers from Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kyiv, Lutsk, Melitopol, Slovyansk, Sumy, Kherson and foreign countries: Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan.

IX International Workshop on Professional Retraining and Life-Long Learning using ICT

The IX International Workshop on Professional Retraining and Life-Long Learning using ICT: Person-oriented Approach (3L-Person-2024) was held on September 23, 2024. The seminar was held as part of the 19th International Conference on ICT in Education, Research, and Industrial Applications (ICTERI-2024). The event was held in a
blended format on the Ukrainian Catholic University, Lviv. Co-chairs of the program committee were Svitlana LYTVYNOVA, Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Serhiy Semerikov, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, Iryna MINTIY, Institute
for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. More than 40 scientists took part in the event, 14 researches was selected through peer review from 27 submitted articles were presented.

Grammarly pilot in Ukraine

The Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine became a participant of the pilot project of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine and Grammarly! There is the license to use Grammarly for Education. Researchers of the Institute joined to use the wide possibilities of the modern manual for writing in English.

Peer Review in the Age of Ppen Science: New Challenges and Opportunities

Peer Review in the Age of Ppen Science: New Challenges and Opportunities

A series of meetings as part of the online course "Reviewing in the era of open science: new challenges and opportunities" was held between 06.25.2024 and 07.16.2024. 510 people participated in the event. The training course is aimed at reviewers of scientific materials (with and without experience), editors of scientific journals, researchers, as well as everyone who sought to improve their reviewing skills and be aware of current trends in science. The Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the NAES of Ukraine is one of the organizers of the event. 365 participants received certificates of successful completion of training.


Coming events and announcements

The National Research Fund of Ukraine Competitions

In December 2023, the Scientific Council of NRFU approved the terms of the competitions: "Research Infrastructures for Conducting Advanced Scientific Research", "Science for Strengthening the Defense Capability of Ukraine", "Advanced Science in Ukraine".
Project selection begins. The winners will receive grant support for conducting fundamental and practical scientific research for development of the national research space and its integration into the world research space.
